Why Our Fuel Shortfall Rate Is a Flat ₹110/Litre, Every Time

A lot of rental fuel policies leave the shortfall rate vague on purpose, because vagueness leaves room to charge more later. Ours is a flat ₹110 per litre, and it's the same number in two places on our site — the fuel policy page and the damage schedule's 'missing fuel' line — because it's genuinely one rate, not a lower one we advertise and a higher one we actually apply.

The rate doesn't change based on how far short you are. Two litres short costs the same per-litre rate as twenty. We measure the shortfall against the timestamped pickup photo of the gauge, so there's no ambiguity about the baseline either — just the litres, multiplied by ₹110, and nothing else added.
