Of the ten scenarios on our damage schedule, the lost key/remote fob line gets the most questions, usually because ₹4,500 sounds steep for what's a small piece of plastic and electronics. It isn't a penalty we invented to discourage carelessness — it's the manufacturer-authorised replacement cost for the specific vehicle, charged at the actual invoice amount.

Most fobs today aren't a simple cut-key replacement; they need reprogramming to the car's immobiliser system by an authorised service centre, which is most of where the cost actually sits. We charge exactly what that invoice says, the same as every other flat figure on the schedule — nothing marked up, nothing negotiated after the fact.
